The incredible contribution of village, church and community halls throughout rural Britain and those who work tirelessly to support their local community often goes unrecognised and unrewarded. That is, until now!

This year in 2022, Allied Westminster – the home of VillageGuard, the UK’s most popular Village Hall insurance – has teamed up with The Village Halls Podcast to launch THE WONDERFUL VILLAGES AWARDS. The Awards feature five different categories (see below) each of which will lead to a hall winning £1,000. So that is a total prize fund of £5,000 up for grabs!

The five categories are:

YOUNG PERSONS AWARD
PROJECT OF THE YEAR
INNOVATION AWARD
INSPIRATIONAL STORY AWARD

These Awards were open to any village, church or community hall in the United Kingdom and were focused entirely on rural communities. There was no limit on the number of entries from each Hall and multiple categories could also be entered. For the rules around entering, please click here.
